Our meeting on
September 18, 2007- was Material repair(cast iron and
others)
Pete Shabay from Airgas was our speaker and demo operator.
He worked on cast iron as well as harden steels and showed us some
repair
tricks for
us to use today. Our attendance was 61 people and pizza and drink was
had by

Our meeting was held at Spring Creek
B-B-Q. Our speaker was Susan
Anderson
  

She got a chance to talk to us on gas use and saftey involved with
new and old gases. If we had gas and torches we would have got more
than a talking too, this girl knows her stuff. Thank you very much for
coming out Susan and we enjoyed everything. Our section would like to
recommend any other section to have her come and speak. Our attendence
for this meeting was lite(30) but good thanks to everyone for coming.
September 20,2005 meeting
Our speaker was Greg Cain. He demo`d the oxylance cutting process. It
was most impressive. After watching this process done by a professional
you can understand the usefullness of its use. The equipment that goes
with it is a 12volt battery and a bottle of oxygon and away you go.
Greg Cain is involved in underwater cutting processes as well as
demolition cutting processes. He told us of the uses on oil rig repairs
to firefighters use it to free trapped people. Check out their web site

Meeting was held at Mt View College in Dallas. Free pizza and
drinks was had by all.Attendence was 50+people. Door prize was
donated by Airgas
