Chaparral
Steel Mill Tour
March 12,2007 was great. This was an ASM and AWS joint meeting.
Attendance was 43 people.
 
Lanelle Smith was our hostess at Chaparral Steel
This is a tour that everyone should take. Make note they have 3 bar
rooms that mold the steel into shapes. The Melt shop melts steel for
all of them. If you would like to see them make note to Lanelle that
you wish to do so. We just got the one bar shop and melt shop. They
make 200 different kinds of steel there.
Thanks again to Lanelle Smith and Chaparral Steel for the tour. If
their is anyone looking to go their is another organization that going
in April. Call Howie and I will get you on their list to go.
Welcome to the March 20,2006 meeting
Our meeting was be held at Spring Creek B-B-Q at Beltline and 183
Speaker was Mike Rivera CSP with OSHA. His
topic is who is OSHA and what they do for us. He discussed requirement
for inspection and how we and OHSA work hand in hand to help us all be
as safe a s we can.
