Scholarships 2006/2007 Scholarship Recipients Ridgewater College Scholarship Recipients for the 10-6-2006 check in the amount of $900.00. A Note From The Scholarship Committee The NW Section of AWS has approved the continuation of the scholarship program for the 2007-2008 school year. The rules have not changed from last year. The maximum per school stays at $1,000 with the amount to be determined by the number of schools that qualify and the total dollar amount approved by the board. Remember, at least one instructor must be a present AWS member in good standing, the scholarship recipient has to be a full time first year student. They can be in there first or second semester of their first year. We must know the students name and remember if they leave school early for any reason, refunds must be returned to the section for future distribution. These dollars are to be used for hands on welder training classes only.
