The AWS Idaho/Montana Section will tour Whiteman Industries at 6850 Business Way, Boise, ID. Whiteman Industries manufactures concrete and moving equipment and sell their products worldwide. They use automated welding and cutting equipment as part of their manufacturing processes. The tour starts a 2 PM.
Directions to Whiteman Industries: Off of I84 take the ID-21 / GOWEN ROAD exit- EXIT 57- toward IDAHO CITY (0.2 miles); turn LEFT onto E GOWEN RD / ID-21 and continue to follow E GOWEN RD. (1.0 miles); turn LEFT onto S BUSINESS WAY. (0.3 miles).
Following the tour of Whiteman Industries, we will meet 5 PM at the Kopper Kitchen located at 2661 Airport Way in Boise, ID. We will order from the menu and 20% gratuity will be included in the bill. Come and see old and new AWS friends.
Directions to Kopper Kitchen: Start out going NORTH on S BUSINESS WAY toward E GOWEN RD (0.3 miles); turn RIGHT onto E GOWEN RD. (1.0 miles); merge onto I-84 W / US-30 W via the ramp on the LEFT toward BOISE (3.3 miles); take the VISTA AVE. exit- EXIT 53- toward AIR TERMINAL (0.2 miles); turn LEFT onto S VISTA AVE (0.1 miles); turn LEFT onto W AIRPORT WAY (0.1 miles)
