Why Become A Patron
Sponsor
The
strength of our buildings, bridges, automobiles, cruise ships,
aircraft, space vehicles, hydroelectric and nuclear power plant, and
many, many other product depend on skilled knowledgeable workers.
Demand from firms across
North America has grown 10% in the past year. The need for
skilled workers will become more of a problem in the next 3 - 5 years
as 50% of the welders in North America retire.
The welding industry is
constantly producing new welding techniques. Every year there are
technological advances in this field. Today's technologies require
knowledge of new materials, techniques and design strategies. We
must keep on top of the changes to stay ahead.
Due to advances through
research and development, welding now includes metallurgy, ceramics,
physics, engineering mechanics, lasers, thermal spraying, micro-joining
and robotics.
Your support enables us to
bring technological activities to our area to further educate those
interested in pursuing a career and strengthening the knowledge of
those professionals already in the welding industry.
