Finding the aid that works for you

Several kinds of financial assistance programs are available. You can apply for multiple scholarships.  Most students receive help on a section and district level.  Award levels depend on the students dedication to a welding career and the amount of students who apply.  The programs are organized by the kind of training you are looking for. The categories include Section, District, National and International Scholarship programs.  Each is described below.

AWS Fox Valley Section Scholarship Program__________________________

Our scholarship program assists students within section 074 and who seek vocational training, community college, or a degreed educational program in welding or related fields of study.  Section Scholorships have a March 1st deadline for students who wish to receive awards for the fall semester,  And a December 1st deadline for students who wish to receive an award for the spring semester.

The broadest scholarship program, assists students who seek vocational training, community college, or a degreed educational program in welding or related fields of study.  Fox Valley Section resides in AWS District 12.  District Scholorships have a March 1st deadline for submission.  The above link will take you to the AWS national website at the appropriate AWS Foundation page for District Scholarships.  You can read detailed information and download an application there.

Provides funding for those seeking an undergraduate degree in welding engineering.  Each National Scholarship has specific requirements that need to be addressed individually.  National Scholorships have a January 15th deadline for submission of applications for the following fall term.  The above link will take you to the AWS national website at the appropriate AWS Foundation page for National Scholarships.  You can read detailed information and download applications there.
