Welding Failure Analysis Methods

by Gordon Smith, of HC Nutting

Gordon Smith gave an excellent presentation reviewing many of famous and infamous weld failures and the forensic analysis methods used to find the root causes.

Welding Gas Selection Hands On Demonstrations

    

Steve Rottman and the Patton Vocational School were great hosts for this hands on event.

 

Dave Wunderle (right) and Ken Whitlock (left), both from Airgas, discussed Shielding Gas selection for Carbon, stainless, and aluminum.

 

Thirty Three people enjoyed the presentation on "Proper shielding gas selection."  Dave and Ken from Airgas presented proper selection criteria and then everyone tried the hands on welding demos with the different gases.

 

 

 

 

 

Orbital Tube Welding, Joint Prep Equipment, & Inspection

 

October 18, 2005

 

Davidson Industrial Sales hosted the October Meeting in their Welding Lab.  The presentation included a review of Orbital Tube Welding equipment, joint prep tools and borescope inspection tools.
